Child yoga

Kids Yoga

Yoga gives children, just as it does to adults, more flexibility, strength, better body posture, it helps with coordination, sense of equilibrium and at the same time lowers anxiety, stress. It teaches children to concentrate better and self-discipline. Yoga asanas are inspired by natural movement of animals in the wild and nature. It is mother nature that endows our children with curiousity and colorfoul imagination. Children love to immitate and instinct leads them to movement that is most natural to them.

Kids yoga is a form of playfull exercise with yoga elements. Pranayama or breathing excersise is practiced and children are taught relaxation techniques. All this is composed into the class in a form of short songs and rhymes. Older children are taught yoga asanas that help with coordination and balance, that are great mental growth. Forward bends and back bends elements help body development with muscle tissues. If your child already practices any kind of sport, yoga is the perfect way to compensate the tired body and muscles.
